Blogger of the Month Awards
Bloganthropy Blogger of the Month Nomination Form
Criteria:
- We are looking for bloggers who use their social media platforms to help make the world a better place. This could take the form of blogging about volunteering in real life to inspire others, providing a community for those living with a tragedy or a challenging disease, sharing information about a cause to educate others, fundraising, and many, many other possible acts of social media charity and volunteerism.
- Bloggers will be considered for work that supports and promotes a charitable, non-profit cause that is primarily politically non-partisan in nature.
Nomination Process:
- You may nominate yourself or another blogger. You may nominate as many people as you wish. If you nominate yourself, the message that appears on completion of the form is your confirmation. If you nominate another, we will try to reach out to that blogger to see if he or she wishes to add any information.
- We will retain nominations from month to month. We may take into account the immediacy of ongoing campaigns when selecting a winner that month. Feel free to fill out the form again if the information has changed substantially.
Sponsors:
- Equal Exchange is donating a prize to the winning blogger for the January through March 2011 Bloganthropy Blogger of the Month Awards.
Evaluation Process:
- Blogger Advisory Board members will help select the winner each month.
- The winner will be chosen at the sole discretion of Bloganthropy.
Recognition and Prizing:
- The Blogger of the Month will be recognized on the Bloganthropy.org website and may also be recognized on partner sites, sponsor sites, and in relevant press releases. If selected and confirmed, the Blogger of the Month will be asked for permission to use his or her biography and image in relation to promoting the awards.
- As possible, we will be offering prizing to the Blogger of the Month. We may not be able to ship prizing outside of the U.S. or outside of the U.S. and Canada, depending on the sponsor.
Eligibility
- Advisory Board members and their business partners and relations are eligible. If an Advisory Board member, his or her business partner, or a family member is nominated, that Advisory Board member will recuse herself or himself from the vetting process for that month.
- Founding Bloganthropy members, Debbie Bookstaber and Candace Lindemann, are not eligible.
- Bloganthropy Blogger of the Month Winners continue to be eligible for the Annual Bloganthropy Awards. (Stay tuned for more details!)
- Bloganthropy Blogger of the Month nominees may not win the Bloganthropy Blogger of the Month Awards more than once in a calendar year.
Bloganthropy.org reserves the right to make changes to these rules at any time, without notice.
